In 1981, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sculpture from the University of La Laguna – Tenerife. From this moment on and throughout his career, Curbelo combines his docent labor as professor of Volume at the Pancho Lasso School of Art in Lanzarote with a professional trajectory in which he reaps great successes as sculptor of Monumental Work. His work includes more than 40 monumental pieces located in public and private spaces. He has also held numerous National and International exhibitions, and has designed and built sculptures for several awards and trophies, such as the International Sailing Regatta “Trofeo César Manrique”.
His creations, made mostly of basalt stone, marble, granite, iron and onyx, speak of simplicity and feelings, and are a tribute to movement and space.
